. This 2 hour and 13 minute video or DVD is a hands-on step by step guide to understanding all components and assembly of a complete nitrous oxide system. Steve Johnson from NOS starts the video off by explaining all components, their functions and assembly of a complete nitrous system. Steve explains what happens inside a nitrous bottle that has 900 pounds pressure and is released to flow out through the high pressure hose into the nitrous solenoids, through the distribution blocks, through the jets and finally through the nozzles into your intake manifold. When the nitrous comes out the nozzle into the atmosphere in your intake manifold, it makes a phase change at 127 degrees below zero. That creates the magic that causes the combustion chamber to want more fuel. When the cylinder uses more fuel, it makes more horse power, that is the magic of nitrous. Steve uses a display panel that has a complete NOS Pro Race fogger nozzle system mounted on it to show how all the nitrous components work together with the nitrous fuel solenoid, the fuel pump, regulator, fuel cell, filters and a progressive controller. The nitrous panel is fired up and activated just like it would be on your car making a pass down the dragstrip. You will see and hear the nitrous and fuel solenoids open and the magic of the nitrous and fuel atomize together and spray the fog out the manifold like it would on your car. You have to "see" and "hear" this to believe it. The nitrous/fuel mixture both roar as they blasts out of the manifold plate. Then the complete nitrous system is installed on a rear engine dragster and you are shown up close all component placement and location. You see the plumbing of hoses and wiring to fit it all together. Video shows how to wire a transbrake into a nitrous system. Then you are taken to the track for testing. Car owner Wayne Partridge tells how he worked through tire spin, wheel stands and tire shake to handle the 1400 HP the nitrous gave the Chevy small block. The 1300 pound dragster controlled the nitrous magic with the progressive controller. The NOS controller was set to 60 percent at launch, this will let 60 percent of the nitrous to activate at launch, build time was set for two seconds, meaning 2 second after launch the controller will progressively open the solenoids to 100 percent of the 1400 horses. The small block dragster had them all. You will see fantastic driving and unbelievable power from the Ideal "nitrous fueler" small block dragster. You will see components that were up-graded to handle the increased horse power. Beginning with J.W. Performance Transmission Ultra hi-performance Powerglide, 16 inch Weld wheels, Good Year 34.5 X 17 X 16 slicks, twin Stroud parachutes, engine and rear end components and much more. The most complete, exhaustive and action packed video ever produced on nitrous oxide. A must to hear, see and own.
