Do you have a HP Z800 workstation and you're getting tired of the low performance of the SAS-1 onboard controller? Are you having issues where it won't work with > 2TB SATA HDDs? You see, most SAS-2 controllers require a SFF-8087 connector. The Z800 backplane has SATA connectors that connect to the motherboard's SAS1 controller. This cable allows you to convert those SATA connectors to SFF-8087 in order to plug into your SAS-2 controller. This brings you SAS-2/SATA-III compatibility with up to 6Gbps speeds (think SSDs!!) as well as compatibility with 4TB, 6TB, 8TB, 10TB, 12TB HDDs! Go large, go fast with your Z800!
