Austrian Military M58 Pattern Harness, Backpack and Daypack with Belt
Pre owned and in good condition. Shows some wear on the whole item from use. No hoes, tears or repairs. All clips are accounted for. Nothing missing. Some scuff marks here and there.
Austrian Military M58 Pattern Harness, Backpack and Daypack with Belt. Shoulder harness is similar if not identical to the US M58 web harness. The pack is quite similar to the US Alice LC1 Back Pack Medium except it's a bit larger. The belt is Austrian made and is very similar in design to the French Army Combat belt.
The whole kit is designed to fit together as seen in the photos or in other ways. Its an interesting design and rather a complicated setup and difficult to get to fit all together properly. The bum pack can actually be hung from the front which allows the backpack to sit better in my opinion. When I had it all set up (as in the photos) the backpack sat over the bum pack. I don't think its supposed to be like that and would need adjusting. The pack can be set up with the belt and harness by itself which I think is more ideal for just a pack setup.
The bum pack will take a shoulder strap quite well for a large bread bag or messenger bag.
I found the harness and bum pack setup to be the best. The bum pack is almost twice the size of the US version with tons of additional straps. You can really load this one up!
The backpack has two drawstring closures at the top. This allows you to over load the pack a little bit or just give some more protection against the elements. Inside the bag is a big internal pouch. This can be used to wear heavier items more closely to your back
