Description

An amazing turn of the 18th century paper pinprick work of art celebrating / mourning Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson measuring approximately 9 3/8 x 6 3/8 visible inches behind matte and behind glass in a frame measuring approximately 15 3/4 x 12 3/4 inches.  Some breaks and tears most notably on right side and upper left as pictured.  A rare piece of nautical folk art possibly made by an admiring American.   Last found in the midwest.  British naval hero, Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson died in the Napoleonic War Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.  Thanks for looking.
